Guiding Alumni Towards Success
The Next Step Program is a 4-month career development experience for Base Camp Alumni focused on strengthening resumes, portfolios, LinkedIn profiles, interview skills, and career readiness through mentorship and accountability.
Month 1: Alumni will refine their resumes, portfolios, networking skills, and LinkedIn profiles through guided sessions and feedback.
Month2: Alumni will build confidence through practice, technical, and panel-style mock interviews and begin applying for jobs.
Month 3: Alumni will actively apply for jobs, network weekly, track progress, and receive tailored job leads.
Month 4: Alumni will review progress and create a personalized plan for their next career steps.

ALUMNI AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
Step Up, Mentor, Make an Impact
The Alumni Ambassador Program connects Base Camp alumni with current students, giving you the chance to mentor, inspire, and make a lasting impact. Your guidance could be the spark that launches a student’s career in tech.
Mentorship Timeline
January – Foundation: You’ll meet with your mentee in a casual, coffee-chat style setting to build rapport and establish goals. Topics include elevator pitches, 2–5 year plans, and expectations.
February – Job Search Support: Ambassadors are trained to support mentees during the job search, including resume and portfolio reviews and mock behavioral and technical interviews.
March – Application & Growth: Mentees actively apply for roles while seeking targeted guidance from their mentor on opportunities, pay discussions, showcasing work, and clearly communicating experience.
April – Life After Base Camp: You’ll help mentees prepare for life after Base Camp, including continued learning, professional growth, and personal finance basics. Setting them up for long-term success
