The Base Camp Alumni Association launched in the summer of 2023 when Gabriel Adams graduated from Base Camp Coding Academy. Seeing the lack of a space for alumni to reconnect and support future graduates, Gabriel worked with fellow alumni to create a hub that serves all Base Camp Coding Academy alumni by supporting higher education costs, career placement, and opportunities to give back in ways that fit their schedules.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER
Who Started the Movement
My purpose is to empower the next generation of leaders in the technology realm. When I graduated from Base Camp Coding Academy in 2023 at just 19 years old, I wished this organization existed to help guide me through higher education, mentorship, and the tools needed to succeed. Today, all of the resources we provide to alumni are free and made possible by other alumni who are college students, parents, and young professionals who work behind the scenes simply to lend a helping hand.

OUR TIMELIINE
From Idea to Impact
This is a drawn-out timeline of how the Base Camp Alumni Association came into being. We started as a scholarship fund supporting students pursuing higher education, and a year later, we evolved into an alumni hub, supporting all graduates of Base Camp Coding Academy.
2023
Base Camp Alumni Fund Launched
The Base Camp Alumni Fund began as a scholarship fund created to help students complete their higher education.
2024
Base Camp Alumni Association Launched
After one year as the Base Camp Alumni Fund, we transitioned into the Base Camp Alumni Association, where we began supporting all alumni of Base Camp Coding Academy.
2025
Introduced New Programs
We launched new programs, including our Next Step Program, which offers personalized one on one career support, and our Alumni Ambassador Program, where alumni mentor current students with additional guidance from the Alumni Association.
2026
Introduced New Scholarship
We launched a new scholarship for Lunar students of Base Camp Coding Academy who are graduating in May. This scholarship was designed specifically to meet their needs, as it serves students who are 20 years or older.
